This
programme looks at the main functions of a modern camcorder and
uses documentary and drama location examples to illustrate a range
of situations.
Different sections of the programme deal with; Focus, Aperture,
Shutter Speed, Depth of Field, Zoom functions, etc.
The programme goes on to consider aspects of framing and image composition
and looks at techniques such as 'pull focus' and 'the trombone shot'.
The relationship between subject movement and movement of the camera
are examined in the final section, which also introduces the notion
of simple tracking and jib movements.
The commentary is spoken by BBC broadcaster Sean Street, and each
programme is delivered in sections punctuated with Key Point Summaries.
